Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Recover Files & Photos (“Application”, “App”, “we”, “our” or “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use the Android application. The App provides photo recovery, file recovery, video recovery, audio recovery, junk clean, duplicate photo clean and screenshot clean tools.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Local files and media access

The App may request access to photos, videos, audio, documents, storage or broad file access depending on your Android version and the feature you use. These permissions are used to scan your device, preview results, restore selected items, save recovered files and clean selected junk, duplicate photos or screenshots.

Recovery and cleaning operations are designed to run on your device. We do not upload your personal photos, videos, audio recordings or documents to our own servers by default, and we do not automatically modify or delete your local media without your confirmation.

1.2 Device, app and log information

To operate, analyze and improve the App, we and our third-party SDK providers may collect technical information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, package name, language, country or region inferred from settings or network, IP address, advertising identifier, app events, ad impressions, ad clicks, diagnostics and crash logs.

The App does not offer subscriptions or in-app purchases. We use third-party SDKs for advertising monetization, analytics, attribution, crash diagnostics and app quality improvement. These providers may process identifiers, device information, app events, ad interaction data and diagnostics according to their own policies.

4. Advertising and Analytics Choices

You can limit personalized advertising through your Android device settings, Google advertising settings and, where available, Meta ad preference settings. You may also reset your advertising identifier from your device settings. Some ads may still be shown, but they may be less personalized.

5. Permissions

Depending on the Android version and feature used, the App may request storage-related permissions to scan local files, preview items and save restored content. If you deny or withdraw permissions, some recovery or cleaning functions may not work correctly.

6. Data Retention

Local scan results, recovered files and cleaned files are primarily stored or processed on your device. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations. Third-party SDK providers may retain data according to their own policies.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal media files. We may share technical and usage information with service providers such as Firebase, AdMob and Meta for the purposes described above. We may also disclose information if required by law, platform process, security investigation or to protect our rights and users.
